ALL ABOUT ME, KIND OF…
Well, not really. It would take a lot more space than I have here to tell you all that! So how about I just share a few things with you?
First and above everything, I am a Christian.
I practice Messianic Christianity (aka Messianic Judaism). My husband is Jewish and just now learning to appreciate his birthright. Together, we are seeing the Scriptures anew through Yeshua’s (Jesus’s) very Jewish eyes. You may find my post on Messianic Christianity interesting.
I love God, my husband, my family and my friends. That’s first and most important. I also love crafts of all kinds, and animals, especially horses and dogs. (I’ve owned many horses in the past, but none right now. My favorite horses are miniatures, Gypsy Vanners, and Friesians because they all look like they popped out of fairy tales. I love all kinds of dogs, and right now have a miniature pinscher named Mac.) Someday I want to own a Silken Windhound.
I like to create.
I like to write on a variety of topics, my favorites being articles about faith, family, blogging, and animals; but I like to write other things, too—as evidenced on this blog. Here you’ll find ideas and information that you can — hopefully — find useful in your own life. I want women to feel at home here, learning to share how they live their Life in the Light.
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7
I spent seven years on the mission field in Russia.
And I loved working with orphans. My passion truly is children (especially my eleven grands)! Kids just kind of do this thing to my heart, you know, like invade it with their innocence and imagination. They show me how to “love my neighbor as myself” in a much purer way than I could ever do on my own. They teach me lessons that resonate within me and keep me accountable to a Higher Power, the One who said:
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14, NKJV).
