Who I Am

Well, not really. It would take a lot more space than I have here to tell you all that! So how about I just share a few things with you?

I love God, my husband, my family and my friends. That’s first and most important. I also love crafts of all kinds, and animals, especially horses and dogs. (I’ve owned many horses in the past, but none right now. My favorite horses are miniatures, Gypsy Vanners, and Friesians because they all look like they popped out of fairy tales. I love all kinds of dogs, and right now have a miniature pinscher named Mac.)

I like to create.

I like to write on a variety of topics, my favorites being articles about faith, children, and animals; but I like to write other things, too—as evidenced on this blog. Here you’ll find ideas and information that you can — hopefully — find useful in your own life.

writer - macI want women to find a place here, where they can become informed, intrigued, and involved. Informed, by a variety of topics of interest to women. Intrigued, as they read new ideas and discover new passions. Involved, as they take to heart the messages in the posts and make them their own.

I spent seven years on the mission field in Russia.

And I loved working with orphans. My passion truly is children (especially my eleven grands)! Kids just kind of do this thing to my heart, you know, like invade it with their innocence and imagination. They show me how to “love my neighbor as myself” in a much purer way than I could ever do on my own. They teach me lessons that resonate within me and keep me accountable to a Higher Power, the One who said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14, NKJV).
